The much loved Who? What? Why? How? Of Christmas book now has a companion Activity Story book, ready for Christmas 2021!

The Who? What? Why? How? Of Christmas book encourages children and their families to re-visit the familiar story of Christmas and ask questions along with the kids in the story. Who was involved in the story of Christmas? What really happened? Why is it important? How did it happen?

When the book was first released in 2019, BSA’s Christmas campaign distributed over 252,000 copies to help Christians spread the good news of Christmas.

Tricia says, “The book has very beautiful illustrations, and funny comments and authentic reactions from the characters (children) about the story (addressed to the story’s narrator). It is emphasised as not any story, but the TRUE story and origin of Christmas, which was really good.” Bec adds, “This is a fun, simple retelling, perfect for non-Christians.”

Christmas activities…just for kids!

Our creative team, under the leadership of author Susannah McFarlane, worked together to produce a new book for Christmas, this time including activities for kids to engage with the story of Christmas.

The colourful, 20-page A5 Activity Story book includes the original illustrations and Christmas story re-telling, paired with 11 activities, which include colouring and puzzles, ideal for kids up to 12 years old.

Kids will have the opportunity to think about the beauty of God and his work as they colour in the creation page; as they fill in the manger scene with drawings of animals and shepherds, they could draw themselves into the picture; and as they think about how the shepherds shared the good news of Jesus’ birth, they can have a go at designing a Gospel T-shirt, and think, ‘How will I share the good news about Jesus’?
