Annual Review 2015

“Faith comes through hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ”
Romans 10:17.

This passage from the New Testament is the rationale for our work at Bible Society Australia. We truly believe that people need to hear the Bible’s message of love and salvation in Jesus.* That’s why we do what we do. And in 2015 we did our utmost to get the Word out far and wide around the world and to every part of Australia.

Through our translation programmes for indigenous languages, our Scripture grants to prisons, hospitals and schools, and our support for Bible distribution in places like China, Nicaragua, South Africa and Vietnam, we ensure that God’s word can be heard. Through our publishing, advocacy and engagement projects, including the recently acquired Koorong Christian resources business, we aim to bring wisdom and transformation to Australia for the good of all.

We can only continue this work because of the faithfulness of our supporters. Thank you for playing your part in Bible mission! In our 199th year of continuous operation, we are a strong group of organisations, focused closely on our long-standing mission while adjusting to the changing needs of our times.

I hope this report on our work during 2015 brings you as much joy as it does to us who have the privilege of doing it.

In the Lord,

Greg Clarke
