25 years of Christian music for Steve Grace and 25 albums for Planetshakers

This week it’s all about 25! A 25th album, an anniversary concert marking 25 years in the business. Also, a new band is set for a good start – perhaps for the next 25 years!

Planetshakers is set to release its 25th album early in the New Year across Australia and the world.

Recorded live at this year’s Planetshakers Conference in Melbourne, Limitless is a collection of 13 songs which they describe as “passionate vertical praise and sung prayers”. Promoted in the US, as “this country’s largest youth and young adult movement”, Planetshakers is known for the songs Nothing Is Impossible, Beautiful Saviour and The Anthem – a new version of which is included on the new album.

Russell Evans, the senior pastor at Planetshakers City Church says he feels this album is “a proclamation that you can live a life that is limitless because God lives in you, and there is no limit”.

The release of Limitless coincides with the launch of Planetshakers first US conference which will take place in San Diego Jan 17-19.

Steve Grace is in Melbourne this week to record a live DVD celebrating his 25th anniversary in Christian music.

Steve is one of this country’s leading Christian artists with eight albums and a million miles of concert tours behind him. Each year he performs to thousands of people around Australia, to remote villages on South Pacific islands, and to major venues in big cities across the United States.

Steve says he’s looking forward to the weekend’s recording at Careforce.

Also in music news this week, Melbourne rock band Steeplejack have just finished recording an EP at The Grove Studios in NSW.  SteepleJack promoter Vic Campbell says the EP – produced by Andy Mac – is called Welcome To Ourselves.
